Welcome to the Atom MD 2019/20 Tryouts
Tryouts can be a stressful period for everyone, so I wanted to share the procedure for the Atom MD upcoming tryouts to hopefully make the process clearer.
Tryout Information
Tryouts will be conducted in two phases;
1) Phase One - No Head Coach Input
- May 16/18 – Independent Evaluators assess and reduce group to approx. 28 players (roster size plus 10 skaters and 3 goalies)
- May 19 – Intrasquad Game – Independent Evaluators assess and reduce group to approx. 24 players (roster size plus 6 skaters and 3 goalies)
2) Phase Two – Head Coach Input
- May 20 – 26 – Exhibition games / Scrimmages
- Head Coach works with Evaluators to finalize roster

I look forward to meeting all the players and hope they bring their ‘all’ at tryouts. We’re hoping for a fun and successful season and are fully committed to developing all our players.
