After accumulating enough points in their first playoff round robin to advance, the Minor Bantam Hawks began a best of three series against the Chatham Kent Cyclones this weekend.
The first game was played in Chatham on Saturday. It seemed as though the long drive didn't help our boys as they never seemed to get to full stride, and eventually lost 3-1. This brought about a do-or-die game on Sunday back at home. Down 3-0 in the third period, our guys rallied to make it 3-2, but then the wheels fell off and the game and the season ended with a 6-2 loss.
We play host to the Tomakomai Allstars later in March as part of the Toyota Challenge. Stay tuned.
