Hawks Win 3rd Championship
The rested Hawk team went undefeated in the Toronto March Meltdown over the weekend to take home another Championship. Game one was a 7-2 win against MTHL'S top team Clarkson Hurricanes (Giles with the trick etc etc). Game two the Hawks came out on top 6-2 against the Newmarket Redman.
The opponents for game three were the Toronto Royals and the Hawks won 6-1, but we lost Cade" big beast" Allan for a few games. Game four was against a very good Vaughan Panthers team. Trailing 1-0 after 1 period Matty " The Bart Man " Simpson scored a shorthanded goal to tie it up at 1-1 . Jack " in the net " Innanen scored the winner at 7:42 in the third and the Hawks went into the semi's with a perfect 4-0 . Dillon Bessey got the goose in game 5 with a 2-0 win against a tough Aurora Tigers team and we were off to the SHOW. Hawks came out flying with two goals in the first by Giles and Lehnen. With a 3-2 lead in the third , Game MVP Cole " Sundy " Sunderland ripped a wrist shot that ended it.A Hot tender,solid agressive "D" and a offence running on all cylinders was too much for the Stouffville Clippers. Great ending to a Wonderful season 43 - 19 - 7 with 3 Championships earned.
