"Movember" Practice
MINOR ATOM ‘MD’ IN THE SPIRIT OF “MOVEMBER” COACH PAUL WOULD LIKE TO ANNOUNCE A “MUSTACHE THEMED” PRACTICE ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2010. PLAYERS ARE ASKED TO COME TO PRACTICE WEARING A MUSTACHE - FAKE, HOMEMADE, DRAWN-ON - WHATEVER WORKS!! EVERY PLAYER IS ALSO ASKED TO BRING A MINIMUM DONATION OF $2 TO SUPPORT OUR TEAM OF DAD’S WHO ARE PARTICIPATING IN “MOVEMBER”, THE WORLD-WIDE CAMPAIGN THAT IS CURRENTLY RUNNING TO RAISE AWARENESS OF AND FUNDS FOR PROSTATE CANCER.
COACH PAUL WILL MATCH TOTAL DONATIONS BROUGHT IN BY THE TEAM TO A MAXIMUM OF $40.00. A RANDOM PRIZE DRAW WILL BE HELD FOR ALL PLAYERS WHO PARTICIPATE (I.E. WEAR A ’STACHE AND BRING A MINIMUM DONATION) AND A PRIZE WILL BE GIVEN TO THE PLAYER WHO BRING IN THE HIGHEST DONATION. THE TEAM STAFF WILL ALSO BE SPORTING A ’STACHE (YES BOOMER, THIS MEANS YOU TOO!!!) FOR THE PRACTICE TO SUPPORT THIS GREAT CAUSE. A REMINDER WILL BE SENT WITH THE HOCKEY THIS WEEK BULLETIN FOR THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 21-28 BUT IN THE MEANWHILE, START PLANNING YOUR “MO” AND DRUMMING UP DONATIONS. EVERYONE’S PARTICIPATION IS APPRECIATED AND WILL MAKE THIS A FUN WAY TO HELP OTHERS.
Hello team,
Thank you all for your donations at practise on Tuesday. We collected $160.00 towards the Cambridge Stachers and to date we have collected nearly $800.00. Coach Paul stepped up and donated his $40.00 as he said he would, the Boomers won the prize for donating the most, $35.00 (Todd said he donated 1 dollar for every hair in his moustache - too bad he didn't have a man's stache or we would be over $1000) and Jace won best stache with the Grinch look.
Christine (Seanan's mom) joined the Stachers to be the one and only Mo Sista. We should get a picture of all the members at some point but it may be difficult to get everyone together. Groom your staches and we will try to get pictures this weekend, we will try on Friday.
I would like to hit the $1000.00 mark so see if you can get any more donations over the next week.
