The Hawks played their final series against the Waterloo Mountain Wolves.
The Hawks played their final playoff series against the Waterloo Mountain Wolves. In the opening game Waterloo dominated the Hawks winning 8-2 putting the Hawks in a "must-win" situation.
Game 2 took place Saturday night at the Kitchener Aud. The Hawks were looking for retribution and won the game 4-1, forcing game 3 Sunday at Galt Arena.
The game was a matchup of two powerhouse teams, both looking for the win. The score stayed tied at 0-0 until the second period when the Hawks scored 2 goals to give them the lead. The Hawks dominated the game with the speed and agility of their forwards, powerhouse defense and superior goal tending. With 1:39 left in the game Waterloo scored making the final score 2-1.
The Hawks have had an astounding season, their hard work and dedication brought them to this championship.
All of the Hawk players and coaches should be incredibly proud of all their accomplishments this season!
