Bantam Select Hornets Win Tourney!!!
The Major Bantam Selects won the Rosedale Tournament in a 1-0 shoot out over Erindale this weekend. It was a remarkable defensive effort throughout the tournament. In five games the Hornets allowed only one regulation time goal against, and one goal against in the thrilling tournament final shootout. Matt Da Silva and Dillon Bessey were the tournament stars recording four shut outs in 5 games played. Game MVP honors went to Matt Da Silva, Dillon Bessey, Aohdan Johnson, Nick McArthur, and Josh Fernandes, Fernandes scored in the 3rd round to tie the shootout at one, then scored again in the 6th round. Dillon Bessey was spectacular, making the final save to seal the win.
