Good Game, Tough loss
Saturday Night the Hawks hosted the Halton Hills Thunder and the fans were treated to a good back and forth battle, resulting in an unfortunate to Hawks fans 5-3 Thunder victory. Read below for details.

Cambridge came out flying again as they have in many of the games this year, scoring the first goal in the first 48 seconds of the game, as Frederick Law put home a rebound off a Brayden French shot and the Hawks were in front. Jared Main who's hard work made it all happen also drew a very well earned assist.
Two minutes later, Cameron Squirrell potted a rebound of a Travis Nederpelt shot and that gave the hawks an early 2-o advantage. Nicholas Silva also drawing an assist.
Credit to Halton, they came back hard scoring 2 goals before the end of the period and we were knotted up at 2 going to the second period.
Halton then scored 2 goals within a minute to open a 2 goal lead. That didn't hold up long as Squirrell hit Nederpelt with a breakaway pass off the boards, which Nederpelt buried the shot top corner (a beauty) to pull the Hawks to within one.
The third period brought chances back and forth but the Thunder grabbed the only goal and held on to record a 5-3 victory.

Overall, it was a good even balanced game with attacks going back and forth keeping a good flow to the game, and the Hawks had a penalty free game which was great to see. The Hawks are chomping at the bit to go back to Georgetown in a couple weeks to try to exact revenge! Stay tuned...
