The Cambridge Atom Hawks extended their winning streak to 3 to back to back victories over the Erin-Hillsburgh Devils. See below for game summaries.

Friday Night the Hawks headed into the lovely town of Erin-Hillsburgh for a clash with the hometown Devils.

The Hawks were firing on all cylinders and stormed the Devils net from the get go. With a 2 goal first period followed by 5 in the second and 4 more in the third, The Hawks secured their first shutout of the season with an 11-0 victory.

Leading the attack with 2 goals, 3 assists for 5 point evenings were Matthew Burtt and Cameron Squirrell. Other goal scorers included: Zachary Dolson(2), Brady Mackey(2), Travis Nerderpelt(2), and Matthew McConnell scoring his first of the select season to round out the scorers. With assists going to Nederpelt (2), Cameron Desousa, Frederick Law, Chloe Butler, and Brayden French.

Colin Matheson and Ryan Kilpatrick shared the shutout as they were ready when called upon to make the saves needed.

Saturday Night, the Hawks played host to those same Devils for a true to the sense home-and-home series.
This game brought with it some style and class. Unbeknownst to the players, they were instructed to meet at the mall an hour before the game for a special surprise. The parents did a great job of not letting them in on it and when the huge limo pulled up to the mall, and the kids were told what was happening, you couldn't believe the looks on their face, I know I wont. The excitement was tremendous as they were chauffeured around town and to the hockey arena.

The game started different as the Devils were ready to play and went up 1-0 early but Cambridge came back with 2 quick goals to lead 2-1 after the first period. The Devils tied the game up on a breakaway on a cannon shot and we were even at 2. The Hawks scored late in the period to lead 3-2 after 2. In the third period though, the Hawks scored 2 quick goals and the flood gates opened as they scored 7 in the period to win the game 10-2.

Leading the scoring with 2 goals and 2 assists apiece were Squirrell and Nederpelt. Other goalscorers included:
Burtt, Nicholas Silva, Jared Main, Law, Mackey and Dolson. Assists going to: Burtt (2), Dolson, Law, and French.

After the game, the players loaded up in the limo and headed back to the mall, so began party time, the music rocking and the players dancing. it was quite a sight, dance offs, pop all around, comfiest seats for the few sitting, what an experience!!!!! Especially for those who had never experienced such a thing. The comments after of `best night of my life`rang out. Something these kids will never forget!

The passing in the games was fantastic and fun to watch, creating so many opportunites, combined with solid defense and the results are showing. The Hawks are now on a 3 game winning streak, Great Job HAWKS!!!
