Minor Midget MD Tryout Information
Thanks to everyone attending our team selection sessions. See below for tryout information, for those who didn't pick up an information sheet.
The coaching staff of the 2017-18 Cambridge Minor Midget MD Hawks would like to welcome all of the players trying out for this season's team. The following information will help you and your child understand the tryout process for MD. The team will not be selected entirely based on a player's skill, but also their ability to contribute to the team environment. If a player exhibits the requisite skills to compete at the MD level, they will then be tested in a game environment through exhibition competition. Due to the overall small sample size of players trying out and our focus as coaches on putting player safety first, we may decide to select a smaller final roster upon approval by the CMHA executive board.
Tryouts Sessions
Session 1: Sunday, August 27 @ Galt Arena Gardens 6:30pm to 8:00pm
Session 2: Wednesday, August 30 @ Galt Arena Gardens 8:30pm to 9:30pm
Session 3: Wednesday, September 6 @ Guelph Sleeman Centre 6:30pm to 8:00pm
Session 4: Saturday, September 9 @ Galt Arena Gardens 7:30pm to 9:00pm
Session 5: Sunday, September 10 @ Preston Auditorium 8:30pm to 10:00pm
Session 6: Sunday, September 17 @ Galt Arena Gardens 6:00pm to 7:30pm
Team Budget
To give an idea of the cost of participating on a MD team, the coaching staffs have prepared the following list of fees. Please note that this budget is for guideline purposes and does not include hotel costs, meals at tournaments, mandatory name bars, etc.
CMHA Registration Fee $515/player
CMHA Rep Fee $500/player
Our Estimated Team Fee $600-$700/player*
TOTAL TEAM FEE $1615-$1715/player*
