PeeWee MD Hawks Champions
Peewee MD Alliance Championships Sunday, April 14th.

The Peewee MD Hawks finished their storied season by attaining their final goal of winning the Provincial finals of the Alliance Championships on Sunday, April 14th.This incredible group of young athletes finished first in the regular season, first in the playoffs, first in the playdowns, won the East MD Championship along with tourney wins in the Cambridge MD Festival and the Wayne Gretzky International.

As CMHA's only Tier 1 representative at the Provincial Championships the PW Hawks had considerable pressure on them. The competition was very tight but the Hawks finished first in the round robin and managed to prevail in the finals over a very tough division rival, the Brantford 99ers by a score of 6-4. The boys took it all in stride and remained loose in the change room working on the most important part of hockey ... making lifelong friendships and laughing with each other.

Amongst the many accomplishments this team can be proud of were some rather unique stats for a CMHA team at any level and any age. These boys scored an unparalleled 388 goals, with a paltry 140 goals against while amassing a 53-10-4 record.

Additional guidance for this cohesive group of boys was derived from an excellent coaching staff, amazing team managers and an involved and helpful parent group. Special thanks to the non-parent coaches Phil Povey and Steve Gorman for volunteering countless hours and their substantial expertise all for the pure desire to help young athletes achieve more.

Enjoy the crowning glory on an unbelievable season boys and good luck to all of you at school and tryouts for your various sports.
