Cambridge Hawks U12 AAA Holiday Food Drive
Our next Community Outreach Event involves a Holiday Food Drive in support of The Healing of the Seven Generations of Waterloo Region (https://healingofthesevengenerations.ca/).
The Healing of the Seven Generations is a non-profit organization that supports First Peoples in the Waterloo Region.
"The Healing of the Seven Generations hopes to help reconnect individuals affected by the residential school legacy to their stolen cultures, languages, and traditions. We want to give them a safe space to learn traditional stories, songs, crafts, teachings, and have a community of support that they can turn to when they need it. We want to help them access the supports and healing tools they need to not only survive, but to thrive. Our community is strong, resilient, resourceful, and intelligent and we want to see those skills reach their full potential."
We will be collecting food items at 3 of our upcoming home games:
1. November 21st vs. Lampton Jr. Sting @ 3pm
2. December 12th vs. Sun County Panthers @ 1pm
3. December 19th vs. London Jr. Knights @ 1pm
