Welcome to U12 'A
What a wonderful time of year for your child, back to school, seeing friends and teachers again and hockey season is upon us. All the things they have not had the enjoyment of for a long time. So, this should not be a stressful time or a time for the parents to put stress on your child.

This is their time to be themselves, put in their best effort all the time, have the right attitude, do what’s right for the team, understand what it takes to compete, understand everyone has a role and an attitude that people want to be around, listen to instruction, be a good room mate and be a good on-ice mate. No matter what happens……. your child will get to play hockey this year and I am guessing that’s why they asked you to sign them up for hockey…….to play!!!

I have been fortunate enough to be selected for this season as the Head Coach. I GET to spend the next 8 months with your child growing them as players and human beings. Thanks for your trust in me and the Coaching staff. This season you can expect us do things differently than the what you may be accustom to. It starts with leaving no stone un-turned in the selection process of this team. We will have off-ice dry land training, off-ice practices during the season and maximize our on-ice time to name a few. We will approach this season with the GET to versus GOT to attitude. “we GET to go to the rink, not we GOT to go” If you want to know who will play with this team, see above…….

How you can help during the selection process; encourage your child to be themselves, do what they know how to do, try things properly when asked…. if they can’t effort gets noticed, so do short cuts. Encourage them to enjoy the process.
