Festival of Friendship Champions!
Congratulations to the Major Midget MD team on winning the Festival of Friendship Tournament held November 19-21. The Hawks went 6-1-0 with the one loss going to the Waterloo Ice Wolves who they would meet again for the championship game and what a game the two teams delivered. The Hawks had the lead going into the third period of play, with less than 5 minutes left on the clock the Wolves tied it up with a power play goal…onto overtime! The overtime period saw some great end to end hockey, awesome goaltending and no goals; it’s time for a Shoot Out! With 3 shooters ready per side it was Cambridge that came out on top. Way to go Hawks a job well done!
