2014 Christmas Tournament in Review
With the 2013 Minor Peewee Christmas tournament coming to a close, we have seen some great hockey over this past weekend, I would like to offer congratulations to all the teams, players and coaches for working hard and playing some great hockey.

The results of the games were close, with the semifinal games seeing the Flyers move to the finals with a 3-1 win over the Habs. The Coyotes and the Leafs both played hard with the Leafs winning their contest 3-0 to also earn a spot in the finals.

The finals witnessed both teams playing hard with some chances to put the puck into the back of the net with the Flyers scoring first and pulling out front in the first period with three unanswered goals. The second period the saw the Flyers netting two more while the third period saw the Flyers score one more and the leafs rally back with one at about the mid-way mark. The Leafs continued to fight back and netted two more late in the period to continue to rally but unfortunately time ran out with the final ending in a 6-3 win for the Flyers.

Both teams should be proud of the way they played, they fought hard and kept their focus and the result of the game could have easily gone another way; consistent with how the regular season has gone as well, any team has the potential to win over anyone else at any time.

Congratulations again to all the teams for playing great hockey and congratulations to the Flyers for being the 2013 Christmas tournament champs.
