HAWKS FIGHT HARD AT FESTIVAL OF FRIENDSHIP TOURNAMENT
Minor Peewee Hawks battled hard and made it to the semi's this past weekend at the Festival of Friendship Tournament here in their home town, Cambridge.

The Hawks started the weekend by dominating the Oakville Predators 6-2 Friday morning.  Knowing the second game was vs. Kitchener Blue, the Hawks knew it would be a physical fight. They gave it everything they had but ending up with a 5-2 loss. Saturday afternoon, the Hawks regained their composure to battle with the Erindale Spitfires. Once again they proved that they will not be pushed around with a 3-1 win and thus advancing them into the semi finals.
The semi's positioned the Hawks against the #1 seed in the "B" division. Knowing the Hawks had defeated the Wolves in the past, Waterloo brought their "A" game. After a 2-2 tie during the regular game and no score during overtime, the game all boiled down to a shootout. With a 1-1 tie in the first round of shootouts, the Hawks moved into the second round of shootouts. Waterloo (questionably) snuck one over the redline, resulting in Waterloo advancing to the finals, where they defeated Kitchener and took the gold.
BE PROUD BOYS......YOU PLAYED YOUR HEARTS OUT. WE WILL GET THERE AND BE THE ONES WHO BRING HOME THE GOLD THE NEXT TIME!
