Exciting Comeback Victory!
The Hawks rolled into Brantford with one thing on their mind, revenge!! After an earlier 7-4 loss at home to Brantford, Cambridge was ready to go from puck drop. See below for game recap.

The Hawks came out flying in this contest, only the 5th of the season,  and it was Cameron Squirrell getting the Hawks on the board, with his third of the campaign, as he took a beautiful cross ice pass from Matthew Burtt, and buried the shot top shelf over the goalies shoulder and the Hawks took the lead 2 minutes in. Travis Nederpelt assisted in addition to Burtt.
Five minutes later, Zachary Dolson pounced on a rebound on his own shot that went wide and put it in the yawning cage and the Hawks were up 2-0. Assists going to Squirrell and Burtt.
Brantford got on the board shortly after finally finding a way to solve Colin Matheson in net and the period ended with Cambridge up 2-1.
The second period yielded no goals but did have a share of close misses. With Chloe Butler sweeping a puck off the line that was assuredly going in. Matheson combined with Ryan Kilpatrick shut the door in the second period.
The third period was toe to toe. Brantford tied the game with 6 minutes left on a deflection goal then followed 45 seconds later with the go ahead goal on a shot from the point somehow finding its way through traffic.
The Hawks as they've done all season to this point didn't give up. and with 2:37 left, Nicholas Silva broke away on a 3-0 breakaway with Dolson and Jared Main and he buried it for the tying goal. His second of the season assisted by Butler and Ben Resendes.
As exciting as that was, exactly one minute later, Adam Floto went end to end and hammered home the go ahead go with 1:37 remaining. A perfect time for his first goal of the campaign with Matthew McConnell and Brady Mackey drawing assists.
Despite a blitz from Brantford at the end, Cambridge held on for its second win of the season with 4-3 being the final.
A great game for the kids to be a part of, great game for fans to watch and great game for coaches to coach in. The never say die attitude sure showed in this game.

Great Job Hawks
