Minor Atom House Select
Hello Everyone!
I just wanted to 'touch base' on the House Select team for our division. As you are all aware, our Minor Atom division has some Novice players on our teams to help balance our numbers. These Novice players are not eligible for the Minor Atom House Select team, however they are eligible for the Novice House Select team.
Both the Novice and the Minor Atom House Select Head Coaches have been out to watch our games over the past few weeks. They have made note of players whom they will be considering for their Select teams. The Selection process is not an easy one to accomplish. There are usually other people evaluating players during our games so the Head Coach gets a larger perspective on the players skills. All the House League Coaches in our division will give the House Select Coach a list of 5 players from their team and the top 3 ranking goalies to be considered. NO players or parents will know who is on this list. The completed list will then be looked over by myself and I can add players to the list who may have been over looked. NO one is allowed to remove players from the list except for the Head Coach of the Select team. Only players who are chosen for the team will be notified. Please keep in mind, this is very difficult for all the Coaches involved when making these selections, especially for the House Select Coach who makes the final selections. Please do not approach the Coaches questioning if your son/daughter was on the list or why they may not have been. Let's remember they are still a valuable player on a special team...their own.
