3rd Period Outburst Lifts Hawks Over Rangers
The Bantam Hawks took on the Kitchener Rangers last night at the Preston Auditorium in a battle of two middle of the pack eastern teams. For two periods this was a fairly evenly matched game with both goalies playing well. The score after two was Kitchener 1 and Cambridge 1 with the lone Hawk goal coming

off the stick of Nathan Bastian. Assists went to Paul Morra and Jacob Younger.
However, the same can not be said of the third period. Jake Wilkinson scored what proved to be the game winner just three minutes into the period when he capped a beautiful 3 way passing play. Assists went to Austin Sine and Brett Wilson. From there the flood gates opened as the Hawks added four more including a natural hat trick by Austin Spiegelhalter. The final score was Cambridge 6 and Kitchener 1.
Scoring summary: Spiegelhalter 3 goals, Jake Wilkinson 1 goal, Austin Sine 1 goal, and Nathan Bastian 1 goal.
Assists went to Wilson (2) , Mitch Montgomery (2) Levi Walker (1) , Younger (1) , Morra (1) ,  Parker Wood (1) and call up Jacob Pellegrino (1)
The Hawks have a big test this weekend when on Saturday they take on the east leading Huron Perth Lakers, before taking on the west leading Sun County Panthers.
