Team Development
Coach Scott took over the coaching resposiblilites for the weekend while Coach Frank was away fishing. He also agreed to write the game review for us!! Here is what he had to say....
I did not think the score indicated how we played. We had lots of shots and we put nice pressure on them and they turned the puck over. We just did not capitalize on our scoring chances. The game plan was to tight check number 13 red pants, which our players did well. We were down 3 players and put a new line together which played very well. Jordan c. did a nice job on his line. Our D men did a nice job on thier forwards, we played physical but smart keeping them to the outside. Our goaltender made some nice saves on the breakaways.
Hats off to Spencer D. for knocking the Hamilton team around, nice checking. I like how the team stood up for one another when they tried to push us around we pushed back which is what a team does. Felix jumped in at the blue line and scored a nice goal. Adam H. took on any Hamilton player who wanted to get close to the net. Over all the 4D-men played well.
I see a lot of positive in our play which is called development. I would have liked to video tape our first game in Guelph and our games we have played since. We are moving in the right direction- stay positive and keep the development going!
