General Information (Cambridge Minor Hockey)

The Cambridge Minor Hockey Travel Program consists of three categories, AAA, A and Minor Development (MD). 

Our AAA teams  participate in the Pavilion League in Alliance Hockey.  The teams are comprised of players from the Cambridge Zone.  The Zone includes Cambrdge Minor Hockey, Hespeler Minor Hockey, Beverly Minor Hockey, Ayr Minor Hockey and Plattsville and District Minor Hockey.  CMHA has Minor Atom through to Minor Midget AAA teams for the 2019-20 season.

Our A teams participate in the Seeded League in Alliance Hockey.  Our A teams are comprised of players who reside in the Galt/Preston areas of Cambridge as well as potential Non Resident Passport Players from neighbouring BB and below Centres starting at Minor PeeWee. Cambridge has Minor Atom through Midget for the 2019-20 season.

Our MD teams participate in the East/Central MD League in Alliance Hockey.  These teams who reside in Galt/Preston areas of Cambridge.  CMHA has Minor Novice through to Minor Midget MD teams for the 2019-20 season.

There will be no Body Checking at any division of MD hockey.

For the 2020-21 Season, there will be Tiers rather than traditional classifications.  Game format is 3 on 3 or 4 on 4 for early sessions.  Playing games within our Public Health Unit can occur in Stage 3b of the Return to Play plan.
If we get to Stage 4 of the Return to Play plan, 5 on 5 with limited travel could occur.

All Bench Staff must obtain Respect in Sport certification, Gender Identification and Expression, Planning a Safe Return to Hockey as well as Coach's or Trainer's certification.  Also mandatory is a Vulnerable Sector check that must be completed every three years.
