Getting to know Coach Dayne:
What inspired you to become a hockey coach?
I enjoy working with youth and helping them develop their skills while making it fun.
How do you foster team culture?
By being positive while coaching gives the team an example to follow. Ensuring the team supports one another in a positive way both on and off the ice.
What does it feel like to be coached by me?
You will be coached with respect and positivity both on an doff the ice while expecting the same from the players to each other and the coaches. Players will be heard when they have problems or requests and will get feedback with clear reasons for the decisions being made.
What do you want your players to learn or take away from this season?
I want them to learn how to support each other and remain positive even when the situation is tough. To know they have the ability to grow their abilities on and off the ice. I want them to be proud of the work they put in by the end of the season and continue to be positive and respectful as they move on to other activities.
