INTRODUCING OUR U14 B/BB HEAD COACH FOR THE 2025-2026 SEASON JAMES ARMSTRONG Getting to know Coach James: What inspired you to become a hockey coach? The sport of hockey has given so much to me over my life. I love the game and am fortunate to be able to share my passion with my kids. Hockey has given me so much throughout my life including lifelong friendships and a lot of life skills and I feel privileged to be able to give back. How do you foster team culture? It's important to get to know your players and build positive relationships with them. I will create a set of team goals and values for the year as well as highlighting expectations and responsibilities for all players. I will include a number of team building activities and social events throughout the year. What does it feel like to be coached by me? Hockey is fun and it is the best sport in the world. That is the experience that I want my players to take away. I am a coach who will always be their biggest cheerleader and will always look to build players up. I will be someone who is pushing them to get better because I believe in them and truly care as well as building positive character traits to carry with them in their daily lives. What do you want your players to learn or take away from this season? I want my players to feel like they have grown in every aspect of their game. I also want them to continue to build their lifelong skills such as confidence, hard work, dedication, teamwork and the importance of community. I want them to feel like I have helped them grow both as a player and a person. Who is your favorite NHL team? Toronto Maple Leafs Who is your favorite retired player? Favorite Current Player?
