General Information (Cambridge Minor Hockey)

PrintGeneral Information

Cambridge Minor Hockey House League provides the opportunity for players to enjoy the great game of hockey. The season culminates with a Day of Champions which is the envy of many sports organizations.

Our league is run by a very dedicated group of volunteers. They endeavour to create a FUN and safe environment, where players are taught the knowledge and skills required to play the game, along with instilling in them the values of sportsmanship, discipline, hard work, dedication, team play and respect.

Each division has a Convener and every team is assigned a bench staff that is made up of a Head Coach, typically one or two Assistant coaches, and a Trainer.  All bench staff are subject to a mandatory Vulnerable Sector Check and are required to take Respect in Sport, (a harassment and abuse course), Gender Identification and Expression course and Planning a Safe Return to Hockey. In addition, Head Coaches and Trainers are required to complete nationally recognized certification clinics.

House League Games and Practices take place on weekends only.

Evaluation Weekend is October 1-2.   Schedule can be found here.

Our philosophy is that all members are to be treated with equity, fairness and respect.
