The past week has seen a few twists and turns to keep things interesting.
Last weekend brought about our first meeting with the Lambton Sting this year. After two periods, the Hawks lead 3-2, but then broke the game wide open and won 8-3. It came at some expense, however, as three injuries and one suspension left the roster in a bit of a shambles. The Sunday game was postponed due to weather, which lead to this weekend.
First up was Hamilton. Falling behind 1-0 early in the game left everybody on the edge of their seats, but our Hawks fought back and held on to win 2-1. Saturday found us in London to play the Gold Knights team. A great game ensued. Both teams battled fast and hard. The Knights went ahead, the Hawks tied it up. The Knights went ahead, and the Hawks almost tied it up. The goalie was pulled and an empty-netter finished us off. But it was a valiant effort and very entertaining.
