House League Conveners Wanted
Submitted By webmaster on Thursday, August 30, 2018
We are looking for Conveners for our House League Divisions.

To effectively ensure that players do have a fair and safe environment to play hockey, each division from Novice to Midget 2 must have a convener to oversee each division.

The conveners are the eyes, ears of the association for their respective divisions and are essential to the operation of the division and season.  The job of a convener, simply put is to run the division and can they generally assist with various activities including;

·        pre-season assistance with coach selection

·        organize division evaluations

·        oversee the team selection process

·        oversee the player draft

During the season,

·        they track game sheets

·        keep coaches informed and updated on various issues

·        answer questions from parents and players

It is important to note that while the Convener is the overseer of the division they will collaborate and communicate regularly and are fully supported by the association via the Jr. VP House league, VP House league or the Supervisor of Coaches.

I encourage you to contact the Association (CMHA Office) to find out more or just volunteer; the season cannot run without the presence of such a pivotal role.

Thank you,

Mike Adams
