Week 7 Results
This weekend provided a trio of tense, close games and it is obvious the teams are starting to settle in after the trade winds have blown.

In the first game the Hurricanes continued to rely upon the offensive talents of Tyrus Morissette, who picked up a hat trick and now has an impressive 13 goals in his last 3 games.  His efforts were matched by the Devil's Daniel Hernandez who also had a hat trick.  The Hurricanes were riding a 3-2 lead with minutes to go but the Devils rallied to win 4-3 and remain the only unbeaten team in the league.

The second game was a bit feistier and both coaches did their best to calm the players emotions.  The game went back and forth.  Carter Lynch paced the Shark offence with a pair of nifty passes to set up goals.  However, the game belonged to Chase Machin of the Penguins who responded to being hit from behind with a pair of goals and a pair of assists.  This game ended 4-3 just like the first one and the Penguins picked up their second win of the season.

The final game saw the winless Senators take on the high scoring Blackhawks and the Senators were simply hungrier early on.  Logan Kennedy led the attack with 3 goals and an assist.  A late rally by the Blackhawks thanks primarily to a hat trick by Devon Taylor proved too little, too late.  The Senators prevailed 6-5 and also picked up their first win of the season.
