Curfews are a Drag!
By the third period we were looking like the team we want to be. Everyone playing their position well and working with each other. All the pressure was on the other team's goalie for a change. We might even have won it except......
....we ran out of time! BUMMER!
It's like watching a movie and the cable goes out for the last ten minutes. Now we will never know what might have happened! Curfewed games aren't any fun for the players, coaches or the fans. I think only the referees like curfews!
Unfortunately we usually only get a one hour time slot. That means that we can't afford to use the first period as a warm up. Rob W. has offered to do the music at our home games, maybe that will help get the boys fired up!
I would like to challenge the team to play our next game like its a re-do of that third period. If every player goes out on their first shift like we are down three and the refs are ignoring the nasty stuff that the other team is doing, than the results will be very different. The fans know they are capable of getting better results, we have seen each and every player shine at some point. We need them ALL shining at the SAME time...and EVERY time they are on the ice! Maybe then I will have to wear sunglasses at our games!
Our next game is Friday Dec. 10, 9pm at St. Catharines....bring your sunglasses, I believe they can do it!
