HORNETS Unbeaten in 2!
What another unbelievable performance by our Hornets! Our kids executed the game plan flawlessly, worked hard every second of that game! From the first shift of the game our Hornets were pumped! What a start, scoring 44 seconds in, set the tone for the whole game. Every line looks solid and all contributed to the final score. At the start of the third period during the speech I asked these kids to dig down and put this game away. Every single kid was looking at me, focused and ready to work. Not only did our kids go out and totally dominate the third period but outshot Brampton 17-2 in that period, Scoring 2 big goals to seal Brampton's fate. Our defence was amazing completely shutting Brampton down. They looked disorganized and could not find a way to sustain any pressure what so ever due to our tenacious play with the puck, quick decisions and great skating! Our Forwards were unstoppable, the passing this early in the season is way ahead of the curve. Total shots Hornets 30 - Brampton 9. With (again) 9 different scorers on the game sheet! Folks, this team is special. Sky is the limit. One more note of thanks to my coaching staff. I have coached on many teams where your help simply closes and opens doors. This coaching staff in comparison coaches every second of the game! Reinforcing game plan and giving praise and adjustments. Way to go guys! Practise Wed @ 4pm. Game Sunday @ Waterloo. Stats will be updated by tomorrow. "Go Hornets Go!" Jason Moon
