UNIQUE SONG SPURS NOVICE WHITE TO VICTORY
Stewart Quinn, father of goalie Evan Quinn, composed the lyrics and performed all the music for “GO HAWKS!” an anthem already gaining traction in hockey lore.

After a tie and a loss, the Novice White Hawks had their backs against the wall.  In a must-win game facing the host team in the Burlington MD Challenge Cup, the Hawks received an unexpected boost in the form of a song written about them and for them.  Prior to Game 3 against Burlington, Quinn introduced “GO HAWKS!” to the team and charged them up for a resounding 8-0 win.  In the Semi-Finals, lyrics firmly entrenched, the Novice White Hawks avenged an earlier 6-1 loss to Sarnia the day before with a hard fought 4-2 victory gaining a trip to the Finals.  With “GO HAWKS!” leading them onto the ice for the Final against the previously undefeated West London team, the Hawks powered their way to a 6-0 lead and finished off West London 6-2 to win the tournament.  The new theme song went 3-0 and the kids played their best hockey when it mattered most.  It was a great team effort and all the kids should be extremely proud of themselves.

Next up, “GO HAWKS!” will echo through the halls of the Gretzky Centre leading the Hawks in the Boxing Day tourney.  GO HAWKS!!
