Cambridge Minor
Hockey is now accepting AAA Coaching applications for Minor Atom to Minor Midget
levels for the 2015-16 season. A link to the application is available in our on-line Library or by clicking the link at the bottom of this Article.
We will not be accepting
applications for any other levels at this time. All applications are due back to CMHA office no later than
January 9th 2015. Current AAA Coaches who are interested in returning must
also fill out an application.
Interviews will start mid-January and conclude by the end of January.
Not all applicants will be contacted for an interview. The Coaches Selection Committee will consist of the following people, subject to availability, Supervisor of Travel Coaches, VP of Travel, Alliance Rep, President of CMHA, and 1 or 2 non Board Members (Community Members, Winter Hawk Representative etc.). Committee Members declaring a conflict of interest where family members are involved at a certain level, will not have input on decisions where the conflict exists. AAA Coach selections will be finalized in early February at which time all applicants will be informed if they have been awarded the team or not by phone or email.
NOTE: Applicants interested in coaching Minor Bantam AAA, Bantam AAA, Minor Midget AAA, and Midget AAA teams will require the new
High Performance 1 Certification in accordance with the new Hockey Canada policy which comes into effect for the 2015-16 season. CMHA will work with successful applicants to obtain the
High Performance 1 Certification. Information on HP1 can be found on Alliance website. AAA Coaches applying for Minor Atom to Pee Wee must have or be willing to acquire a minimum of DS1 certification by September 1st 2015
All Coaching Staff must submit a Police Record check upon request.
The Seeded and MD applications will be available in the Spring during AAA tryouts with interviews to follow in May.
