Thank you Wally Vanderaar
One of our longest serving Volunteers has decided to retire.

Unless you yourself have volunteered your time to a large Organization, it may be difficult to understand the amount of commitment it takes to “just do a good job”.
Cambridge Minor Hockey has been fortunate to have a Volunteer for most of the past 20 years who has done a GREAT job. We would like to thank Wally Vanderaar for everything he has meant to this Organization and the children of Cambridge throughout his years with CMHA.
Wally started as a Coach when his own son started playing hockey and after that went on to be a Supervisor of Coaches and then the Vice President of House League.  Throughout his years as VP he was instrumental in developing policies that brought consistency to our program, the formation of a Christmas Tournament for our House League players and a Day of Champions celebration that in my opinion, is the best offered anywhere. Wally has left a legacy that will continue to grow in the hands of very capable people who have been part of the House League Team for many years themselves.
I as President, our Board and I'm sure our members over these past 20 years join together to thank Wally for all he has done for the hockey players of this City and wish him the best in his well deserved rest.
There will always be a place Wally if you are ever ready to return.
Cheers,

John Morton, President
Cambridge Minor Hockey Association
