Minor Midget A Hawks win Waterloo Memorial Tournament
The Cambridge Minor Midget A Hawks won their second tournament of the year with a hard fought 4-1 championship win over the Whitby Wildcats in the Waterloo Memorial AA Tournament this past weekend.
The Hawks faced the Burlington Jr. Cougars, Belle River Canadians, GTHL Capitals, London Jr Knights (Green) in the round robin and went undefeated to win their division.
In the semi finals, the Hawks faced the LaSalle Sabres and manged a come from behind 4-3 victory to earn themselves a berth in the finals vs the Whitby Wildcats. In the championship game, the Hawks found themselves up against a relentless Whitby offence. Despite the pressure, Hawks goalie Trystan Boyce remained almost unbeatable which allowed the team to take the win.
Special thanks to the AP players (Logan Gorman, Tyler Speiglehalter, Eric Matheson and Liam McGinnis) who helped out this past weekend with our injury depleted roster.
Congratulations Hawks!
