Novice Black MD Hawks are Alliance Champs
Submitted By webmaster on Monday, April 1, 2019
The Novice MD Black team won the Novice MD Alliance Championships yesterday by beating Kitchener Blue in Game 3, 2-1.

As reported by our Alliance Regional Vice President, Fernando Nogueiro from this past Saturday;

"Something real neat here with your Novice MD– Black team.  I was at a Kitchener rink on Saturday for an award presentations.  Talk about the “Spirit of the Game” involving the parents from your Novice Black team.  I took a picture of them all decked out in Cambridge Hawks white jerseys at a Kitchener rink.  They even got the Zamboni driver to wear a Cambridge jersey while flooding the ice before the game.  What a great cheering squad!!!  The white Cambridge jerseys just overpowered the Kitchener rink.  As well, before the game, they all formed two lines from their dressing room to where they enter the ice, and the players walked between them and were high-fived and cheered by the parents as they entered the ice surface.  Truly just amazing to watch."

Congratulations Hawks!
Good Luck at the Alliance MD Championships in London, April 11-14th.

    Cambridge Minor Hockey lost a true friend and supporter this weekend with the passing of Al Findlay.  It is difficult to put into words what Al meant to youth hockey in our City, but it is without a doubt better, for having him in it.
