Midget A No BC Hawks Win Dan Pulham Memorial Tournament!
The Major Midget A No BC Hawks traveled to London for their first tournament of the year.

After a sluggish start in game #1, the Hawks prevailed over Markham with a 7-3 win.  The boys then closed out the round robin with a 3-0 record with two nail biting wins against Pickering and Halton Hills.  In the semi-finals, the team jumped out to an early lead, before penalty troubles derailed these efforts to knot the game at 4-4, before persevering for a 5-4 win sending the boys to the Championship game!

The Championship game pitted the boys against bitter rival West London Hawks which promised to be a heated affair.  After a slow start in the 1st period, the boys were faced with intense pressure from London, but due in large part to amazing goaltending, the first period ended down 1-0.  In the 2nd period, the boys regained their composure, implementing excellent puck movement and a strong forecheck to generate turnovers shifting the momentum to a 3-1 lead.  The 3rd period saw Cambridge continue their strong play with solid team play and goaltending.  Despite a phantom penalty shot call bringing London within one goal, the boys were not derailed, and finished the game with a dominating 6-2 win!

Congratulations to the entire team for coming together as a team, maintaining composure, and pushing through for a hard fought tournament win!
