Cambridge Minor Hockey lost a true friend and supporter this weekend with the passing of Al Findlay. It is difficult to put into words what Al meant to youth hockey in our City, but it is without a doubt better, for having him in it.
Al started at the Hockey School at the same time as my son started and then when I joined the Board of CMHA, there was Al at the table, saving me a spot beside him. You don’t replace people like Al Findley, you just try to fill the void that has been created.
It is my privilege. on behalf of CMHA. to thanks Al and his family for allowing us to have him in our lives for so many years.
Job well done my friend.
