Director of Volunteers
The Board of CMHA is please to introduce to our members our new Director of Volunteers, Ashley Morton. Ashley comes to us with an extensive background in recreational programming and event planning . Below is a brief introduction from Ashley to our membership.

I have the privilege to serve the Cambridge Minor Hockey Association as Director of Volunteers. By day, I work as a Recreation Coordinator for Alison Neighbourhood Community Centre, a not-for-profit organization providing recreation programs and events for families in the Alison Neighbourhood of Cambridge.

Working in a not-for-profit, I understand the invaluable impact that volunteers have on an organization. Cambridge Minor Hockey Association would not exist if it weren’t for the people who volunteer their time to champion the game of hockey.

In my experience, the most successful organizations are ones that are able to identify and take advantage of the variety of skills, talents, and assets available within a group of people. My goal for the next year is to get connected to more families of CMHA, understand how they’d like to get involved, and use their skills to uplift the organization. The leadership team on the Board of Directors have an exciting vision for the future of CMHA, and I plan to engage our potential volunteers to help us move forward towards those goals.

Ultimately, my hope is that by helping people get connected to volunteering opportunities with us, they will gain a greater sense of belonging to the greater hockey community that we all love! Want to get involved? Contact me at [email protected]

Welcome Ashley.
