Tri City Hockey League
Cambridge Minor Hockey Association is excited to participate in the Tri City Hockey League (TCHL) for the upcoming 2023-2024 season.
What Does this mean for CMHA players?
By participating in the TCHL, Cambridge teams will be playing competitive games against teams from Kitchener and Waterloo while still playing against Cambridge teams.
The season will be broken down into 3 phases:
A Regular Season: teams will play other teams, the standings for the regular season will be used to create pools for the second phase
Playoff Season Games: teams will play games against other teams within their respective pools to determine playoff seeding
Playoffs: the qualifying teams will play playoff games to determine the champion. This may involve a semi final and a final depending on the number of teams per round.
CMHA believes that by participating in the TCLL, it allows players to compete at a single age division allowing more variety and competitive game play, while playing against players of the same age.
More details will be released as we get closer to the start of the 2023-2024 season.
