Most AAA teams have competed in a couple of tournaments and are in the heart of their regular season games. Seeded teams have been sorted and ready to compete in AA or A. The BB/B teams will qualify for their respective divisions in early December. All teams will look to make deep runs in the playoffs this season. Good luck to everyone.
Although it may feel like the hockey season just started, your Cambridge Minor Hockey Board of Directors is always moving forward and planning ahead. Part of that process is Coach selection for the 2025-26 season.
We know that sports can teach people valuable lessons about ethics, fair play, and the importance of staying healthy. Building a sense of community, athletes can feel part of a shared goal, which can strengthen social ties and networks. A good coach can help athletes identify areas for improvement and reach their full potential on the ice and, more importantly, off the ice. Positive coaching can help athletes develop a growth mindset and mental resilience which supports the athletes' over-all well-being.
“The biggest thing we get out of Coaching is seeing the kids smile. And hopefully, we will also see that the lessons we’re teaching – not only the fundamentals of hockey but also the life values – are sinking in.” – Bobby Orr
