U18 A Hawks Champions
Our U18 A Hawks took home a tournament win at the Adam Keunen Memorial AA Tournament this past weekend.
The U18 Cambridge Hawks went through the round robin portion of the Adam Keumen Memorial tournament 3-0, defeating the Elmira Jr Sugar Kings 6-2, Garden City Falcons 5-0 and Lasalle Sabres 4-0. The offense was clicking and the defense stifling. In the semifinal, the Hawks had a return match up with Garden City Falcons and prevailed 2-1. In the finals, they faced the Lasalle Sabres. Despite out chancing the Sabres through much of the contest, the game went to overtime and 3 on 3 where the goaltending remained stellar, forcing a shootout. Caleb VanLeewuen and Jeremiah Vagadia scored while Jacob Duby shut the door for the shootout win. Carter Jonas scored the lone goal for the Hawks in regulation time. Nolan Branco led the team with 4 goals during the tournament. Both Duby and Owen Annette recorded shutouts in round robin play Great Job Boys, Congratulations!
