Now Accepting Convenor Applications
Hockey season is quickly approaching and CMHA is looking for volunteers to fill the role of convenor for U9, U11, U12, U14 and U15.
Convenors are the front-line eyes and ears of the association and are there to oversee their division. They are essential to help ensure fun & fair play and keep the division running smoothly throughout the season.
The role of the convenor is to attend the games in your division, assist with HL coach selection, organize the evaluations and team selection process, track game sheets, keep coaches informed and updated on topical and changing issues, answer questions from parents and/or players; settle minor disputes as well as many other things. You will be a decision maker but are not an island. If you have any questions or concerns or require support from the association you will bring it to the attention of the VP HL, JR. VP HL or the Supervisor of Coaches and we will be more than happy to provide you with additional support as needed.
Cambridge Minor Hockey observes the rules and regulations administered by Hockey Canada (HC), the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF), Alliance Hockey and our internal by laws. In addition there is a guidebook with information that will help to assist you as the season progresses.
