The following additional documents are required:
*Resume that includes your Coach Experience, Coaching Accreditation, and Playing Experience
*One-page Coaching Philosophy Outline
*Age-appropriate 50-minute practice plan that includes visuals, and an outline of why this material was chosen; how it translates from practice to game, work to rest ratio, effective use of ice, goalie incorporation, use of coaching staff and volunteers with clear defined roles, small area games, target skills (passing, skating, offensive zone play/tactics, defensive zone play/tactics)
*Age-appropriate season plan that includes a blueprint for the team's entire season outlining your strategy for skill development, physical training, and tactical execution. Plan should include: overall specific goals, practice schedules, and details on individual and team skills such as those noted above.
*You will receive an email confirmation once your application has been successfully submitted
Interviews will be conducted by a panel of impartial, CMHA Board and non-Board members. Coaching interviews will commence shortly after the application deadline, although not all applicants may be interviewed.
If you share our commitment to player development, we want you to coach with us. We also recognize that individuals come with a wealth of experience and talent beyond just technical requirements. If you don't have every single requirement or are not currently a head coach, but the skills and experience needed for the role still resonate with you, please consider applying.
