Round 2 starts the rematches and the trade deadline looms…
The first rematch started with the Habs and Leafs. In the first match up they tied 7-7. The rematch settled little with another tie 4-4 tie. Habs scoring led by #16 Ethan with two goals and #12 Jordan with a goal and #6 Ryan a goal and an assist. Also, assisting #9 Cole (with two) #11Ryan.
The second match was the Bruins and Stars. The Stars were looking to redeem the 6-3 loss from the previous week but the Bruins were out to defend their victory. After the first period it was 1-0 for the Bruins. In the second it was an offensive rumble with a total of 11 goals, 6 for the Bruins and 5 for the Stars. At the start of the third period the score was Bruins 7 Stars 5. Only two goals scored in the final period for the Bruins bringing the decisive 9-5 victory for the Bruins. Stars scoring by #3Ryan and #16 Owen both with two goals, and #13 Alexander with a goal. Assisting, #12 Cody got two and # 11 Ethan. Bruins scoring scroll: #30 Anthony with a hat trick and an assist, #8 Ethan also with a hat trick and an assist, #7Chris with two goals, #14 with a goal and two assists. Also making it on the score sheet was #13 Tyler.
The third match had the Flyers and Penguins. The Penguins took a 4-1 lead after the first period. From there the Penguins didn’t look back and answered the 3 Flyers goals over the last two periods in their decisive 7-4 victory. This brought the Flyers undefeated record to an end and their first loss. Scoring for the Flyers was # 7 Aiden with two goals and #15 Jacob and #4 Brett with a goal each. Assists given to #14 Logan, #10 Nathan, #13 Joseph. Penguins scoring by #11 Bryce and #9 Adam both with two goals, # 16 Thomas and #14Branden both with a goal and assist, #6Eric with a goal. Assists by #4Ty, #12 Owen, both with 2 assists and #2 Sam.
