Early Cold Sunday Morning Games
January 9th games were a change in location: at the Ice Park
Early morning games started with the Stars and Penguins. The Penguins hot off the Tournament win were early to get going scoring the opening goal in the first 8 seconds of the game. Bryce # 11 getting the unassisted goal. The Stars answered in the last 11 seconds of the first period with a goal by #16 Owen assisted by #10 Theo. In the second period the Penguins replied with a goal by #5 Ethan asissted by #2 Sam and # 11 Bryce. Star's player #16 Owen answered in 9 seconds. The Penguins scored their third goal to go ahead 3-2. For there on the Stars dominated the score sheet taking 3 more goals. First of the three was unassisted by # 11 Ethan D, the second by #2 Ethan N assisted by # 10 Theo. The third goal by #13 Alex assisted by #2. The Stars won 5-3 over the Penguins.
In the second game the Flyers and Bruins had a 9-5 scoring match. Picking up goals for the Flyers was #4 Brett totaling 5 goals, #7 Aiden #2 Jonah with a goal each and #6 Will with a pair of goals. Flyers # 5 Micheal picked up an assist. For the Bruins #5 Brandon scored a hat-trick and added an assist. Bruins #6 Jadon and #14 Dre recorded a goal and assist each , while number #9 Steven and #8 Ethan getting assists.
The third game saw the Leafs and Habs battle on a 5-2 victory for the Leafs. For the Habs #6 Ryan and #12 Jordan pick up the goals. For the Leafs #15 Tyson opened the scoring following him #6 Scott banked a goal. Scoring a hat-trick for the Leafs was #3 Jesse.
