Novice Leafs in the Walter Gretzky Tournament
Leafs finish 2nd in the Walter Gretzky Tournament
The Novice Leafs started the tournament against the Brantford Ram 99er’s and defeated 4-1 in the opening game. The Leafs than met the Tecumseh Eagles in game two. They shut out their competitors 2-0. In game three the Leafs went against the New Hamburg Huskies. The Leafs were close but the Huskies won 3-2. The Leafs moved into the semi-final match against Credit Valley Wolves where they once again shut-out the competition 3-0 putting them in the finals. The championship game was a rematch against the home team Brantford Ram 99er’s. The Leafs put forth a great effort but weren’t able to repeat the opening game win.
