Minor Peewee House League, 2011-2012 (Cambridge Minor Hockey)

Todays Semi finals were excellent hockey games, and all teams should be proud of their efforts.  The two winners will meet for the championship on the Day of Champions next Saturday. The Leafs will play the Bruins in the Final!!!!

The two games on Sunday March 16th will decide the final standings.   Currently, the Leafs, the Blackhawks and the Senators have all made the semi finals, but the Sunday game will decide which team finishes 1,2,3 The game between the Flyers and and the Bruins will decide the final semifinal spot.

Three very close games again, great hockey and well played by all teams. First Star - Ethan Werhle - Ethan had a shutout in facing many tough shots and stopped a penalty shot.   He stood tall and backstopped his team to a hard earned win.  Great Job Ethan !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Second Star - Connor MacDonald.  Connors strong defensive play and his beautiful last second goal lifted his team today.  A great day for Connor! Third Star -  Declan Jeffers - Declan had two big goals today and was the hard worker of the day.   Fantastic Job Declan!!  Good Job!!!!!!!

Great week!  three close games, well played. First Star - Alex Davidson - 2 great goals and great sportsmanship.  Alex stopped after a collision to make sure his opponent was Ok while play went on.  A true young gentleman. Second Star - Mike Mansfield - A great week of two way power hockey.  Great job. Third Star - Devon Bennet  - He stopped many breakaways and dozens of shots in close.  He was the difference!

The Final Game for the xmas tournament was played today and the Senators won over the Bruins 2-1 in a very close battle.  Tournament First Star and MVP was Brock Fraser - 13 points Second Star was Ashley Clark  - she was brilliant - only gave up six goals in four games. Third Star was Brady Wilson - Brady was awesome in the tough battles around the net all week. This was a great tournament and thanls to all the fans who came out and offered the positive energy to the kids.  See you next week!!
