All Things Christmas Related...
Good day everyone.

A few things needed to firm up over the last few days before I could post.

Photos are here.

The photos we have were distributed out to the coaching staff.  Please see them to pick up your order.

Winter Hawks Memberships

As you are probably aware, earlier this year the CMHA and the Cambridge Winter Hawks entered into a partnership. As part of this endeavor, the Winter Hawks have made player memberships available to all Cambridge Hawks.  These membership cards/pass were provided to each player this weekend.

The pass, conveniently retained on a Bauer lanyard, allows students (ages 13+) admission to Winter Hawks home games for $5. (Regularly $9) Please see me if you did not receive your pass.

Please see here for further admission rates and here for more background to the partnership.

Christmas Tournament

The seeding and dates for the Christmas tournament have been set.  I have attempted to put each team’s first game in the calendar.

Please ensure you refer to this link for the most up-to-date information

Please note, in an attempt to afford the 3rd seed some rest between games (they have to play 2 games on the 27th), a game will be played at 1PM.

Please review the schedule and be sure to communicate to your coach your child’s availability for the tournament.

Hockey Family

Many of you who follow local hockey have probably heard about John Divo and his battle with Cancer.  Unfortunately, the young Kitchener Dutchman has another fight on his hands… his cancer has returned.  He needs a stem cell donor and he needs a match fast.

Since blood donor clinics and OneMatch swab events are being held throughout the region, we should do our best to help get the message out there for young men between 17 and 35 to get tested.  For more information, check out this article from the Record and this one on Kitchener Minor Hockey’s website.

See you at the rink.
