CMHA has noticed a decline in the number of goalies participating in the house league divisions, without goalies it is impossible for the house league program to effectively offer the expected house league program.  To mitigate the issue CMHA is offering a Goalie Incentive Program for the 2023-24 season.

This program is intended for house league and local league goalies only. Rep/Travel players are not eligible to participate.

The program will be rolled out consisting of the following:

U8-U11 Divisions - Training
In an effort to support the younger goalie's development, CMHA will be offering the opportunity to participate in a development program at Rick Heinz Goalie and Hockey School. This program will be offered for 12 weeks for up to 6 goalies per session. Participants will be required to pay $20 per session with CMHA subsidizing the remainder of the cost.

The sessions will all begin at 6:30 pm and the dates for these sessions is as follows:
-October14
-October 21
-November 7
-November 14
-November 21
-November 28
-December 5
-December 12
-December 19
-January 9
-January 16
-January 23.

All sessions take place at 465 Pinebush Road, Unit 6, Cambridge ON


Retention - U8-U18 Divisions
CMHA will be offering a goalie Rebate to help retain and offset the higher cost of equipment for goalies. CMHA full time house league goaltenders can receive rebates of up to $500.

The first rebate of $250 will be issued around December 15, and the final $250 rebate will be issued at the end of the season.
