Getting to know Coach Jason:
What inspired you to become a hockey coach?
I applied to coach because I want to see these kids develop and grow into better players and teammates. With my professional experience, I know what it takes to build skills, compete hard and love the game. I’m here to create a structured, high-energy and fun environment that challenges them to be their best every time they hit the ice
How do you foster team culture?
I think it requires establishing the expectations of hard work, accountability, and a team-first mentality. We build a tight-knit squad through effort, fun and the respect for one another.
What does it feel like to be coached by me?
Being coached by me means showing up, paying attention to the instruction and playing the game the right way—with discipline, effort, and a team-first mindset. I run a structured, high-energy atmosphere where players get pushed to develop their skills, compete hard, and think the game at a higher level, all while keeping things fun and making sure they love coming to the rink.
What do you want your players to learn or take away from this season?
I want my players to walk away from this season as smarter, more skilled, and more confident hockey players who understand the value of hard work, accountability, and playing for their teammates. More than anything, I want them to love the game!
