INTRODUCING OUR U15 AAA HEAD COACH FOR THE 2025-2026 SEASON RICK CHAPMAN Getting to know Coach Rick: What inspired you to become a hockey coach? I became a coach because of the love of the game hockey has been in my family for years. How do you foster team culture? I try to build team culture by first making it feel like a family atmosphere. Everyone is important and has a say also try to have players understand this is a team game and you play for the guy sitting on either side of you and you go to battle for them. What does it feel like to be coached by me? I try to be a players coach and want to build relationships first. I try to have them have the attitude that every game give it your all every shift. What do you want your players to learn or take away from this season? I would like to have my players learn from this year that you give it your best every shift and even if we fail at times that’s not a bad thing we learn from our failures and become better people down the road in life. Who is your favorite NHL team? Toronto Maple Leafs Who is your favorite retired player? Favorite Current Player? Wendell Clark and Sidney Crosby 2025 Stanley Cup Champs are... Toronto Maple Leafs. Fingers Crossed. Who is your favorite music artist? Garth Brooks Away from the rink you will most likely find me... Away from the rink I love to spend time with my family and especially my granddaughter. Also love to ride my horses, don’t do this enough.
