ZAC CLARK
Getting to know Coach Zac:
What inspired you to become a hockey coach?
While growing up playing the game, I have always had a passion for hockey. Once playing competitively was done, I volunteered with the Galt Minor hockey school, which grew a passion for developing future athletes. This led me into coaching and has continued to be my inspiration in coaching.
How do you foster team culture?
I foster team culture through team accountability, setting early expectations, and team goals. Team goals help push the player for success and create a goal to work as a team for. Through coaching, I try to teach the players that they are like brothers on a team, and their friendship can last longer than the season, not just at the rink.
What does it feel like to be coached by me?
Being coached by me, you will be challenged to push your development to become the best athlete both on and off the ice. Through my coaching and my bench staff there are varying technical skills that each bring to help develop and push the athletes to their best ability. While creating a positive experience for each player when they come to the rink.
What do you want your players to learn or take away from this season?
My biggest motto is: respect the game and the game will respect you. What you put into the season you will get out of it. I would like to see the hard work pay off, the lessons learned create great athletes, and the season that players can look back on and be proud of.

Toronto Maple Leafs
Who is your favorite retired player?
Wendel Clark for his offensive ability and physicality.

Away from the rink you will most likely find me...
Away from the rink you will find me walking my two dogs with my wife around the neighborhood or visiting with family and friends.
